Durability / Maintenance
UCoat It is a two-part hybrid epoxy polymer that is roller-applied to a damp, wet surface. This process enables the materials to flow and penetrate into open pores of the concrete or wood substrate, creating a permanent bonding layer and superior protective barrier. UCoat It has this unique ability to be applied directly over a damp-wet surface, eliminating any downtime between floor area prep and the coating applications.
UCoat It floor coating systems provide a seamless chemical-resistant, waterproof barrier, preventing spills, of chemical and corrosive agents, from driving down into the substrate below. Our floor coatings are hard wearing, durable and resistant to damage from everything you would expect in an industrial working area including: load impacts, hi-low and maintenance vehicle traffic, pallet jacks and welding spatter. Our coatings also stand up to varying environmental conditions such as cold and hot temperatures, water intrusion and humidity.
Safety
A UCoat It floor coating can enhance safety in high traffic areas by providing a brighter, cleaner working area. Establish traffic lines and safety zoned areas directly into the floor by easily applying them during the coating process. All UCoat It systems come standard with UTex™ or URock® anti-slip aggregate suitable for most areas. UTex is an industrial-grade aluminum oxide aggregate that is hand broadcast to desired density onto the UCoat bond coat while it is tacky. Once dry, the UCoat epoxy finish coat will roll over it and bond it into place, while still allowing the edges of the granules to protrude through providing an anti-slip surface. URock is a quartz aggregate that may be used as an alternative to UTex. Although URock granules are larger than UTex granules, they have a rounded shape that allows for a less aggressive bite, typically used as an alternative when a very textured anti-slip surface is desired.
