System Description
UCoat It UltraLife is a multi-layered epoxy / urethane floor coating system that exhibits exceptional hiding characteristics along with superior chemical and abrasion resistance. Suitable for automotive and exterior areas, UltraLife incorporates our UCoat epoxy, UFlek decorative flake and UGloss-AF urethane.

A UCoat It UltraLife system retains all protective qualities of a UCoat epoxy floor with the added benefits of multiple coats of UGloss-AF urethane topcoat. Adding a dense application of decorative flake creates textured surface that is hides underlying surface imperfections in the substrate, and when contrasting colored flake is used, dirt and surface scuff marks remain well hidden allowing for minimal surface maintenance.

All UCoat It floor coating finishes begin with application of UCoat water-based epoxy. This system uses UCoat epoxy as a bonding base with a multiple broadcast of UFlek decorative flakes sealed with one or more UGloss-AF urethane topcoats.

How Applied
1. On a damp-wet floor, UCoat commercial-grade epoxy is applied with roller and brush directly to the surface. The UCoat material will penetrate the surface and create a permanent bond with the cement.

2. After the UCoat Bond Coat is dry and tack-free (4-6 hrs.), a second coat of UCoat epoxy is applied. UFlek vinyl colored flakes are hand broadcast onto the UCoat finish coat as it is rolled out, applying the flakes as you go. After the first broadcast of flakes, approximately 40% of the floor will be covered with 60% of the underlying color showing through.

3. After the UCoat finish coat is dry and tack free (4-6 hrs.), UGloss-AF clear urethane is applied over the first layer of flakes. A second broadcast of flakes is applied as before, this time on top of the wet UGloss-AF clear as you roll it out. After this, the flakes should cover 80% or more of your floor with minimal amounts of the underlying color showing through.

4. To finish your UCoat It UltraLife floor, apply one or more coats of UGloss-AF clear after the previous coat is dry and tack-free. Apply UGloss-AF over the entire floor to seal in the flakes and create a high-gloss finish. One or more UGloss-AF clear top coats can be applied to obtain a higher-build, less-textured surface.

The UCoat It UltraLife system is ideal for use in many types of applications including automotive floors, exterior areas, commercial applications and industrial environments. Using two applications of UGloss-AF clear top coat over the basic UCoat epoxy system provides additional durability, resistance to wear and tear, UV stability and increased light reflection. The added element of two broadcasts of UFlek colored flakes is not only for decorative purposes, but exhibits exceptional hiding characteristics along with superior chemical and abrasion resistance.
