UCoat® with UFlek-AF® High Gloss Urethane Top Coat

All UCoat It floor coating finishes begin with application of UCoat water-based epoxy. This system uses UCoat epoxy as a bonding base with a broadcast of decorative flakes sealed with our UGloss-AF urethane topcoat.

What is UFlek-AF?

UFlek-AF includes your choice of decorative vinyl flake plus UGloss-AF clear urethane topcoat. UGloss-AF is a chemical resistant, solvent-based urethane top coat specially formulated for use with UCoat. Adding the UFlek-AF topcoat to your UCoat epoxy base will enhance the beauty and durability of your floor while creating a beautiful terrazzo, high-gloss finish.

What are the benefits of applying UFlek-AF?

A UFlek-AF topcoat retains all protective qualities of a UCoat epoxy floor with the added benefits of a UGloss-AF urethane topcoat. Adding a decorative flake to the finish creates a natural pattern that mildly distracts the eye, helping to obscure surface imperfections, dirt, and scuff marks while creating a beautiful simulated terrazzo look.

How is UFlek-AF applied?

Best applied during installation of the UCoat epoxy base, UFlek flakes are hand-broadcast onto your UCoat finish coat as it is rolled out. When dry, UGloss-AF clear is applied to coat over and seal in the flakes. The UGloss-AF topcoat will take approximately 4-6 hrs (at 68°F) to become tack-free. Your new UCoat with UFlek-AF floor will be ready for foot traffic in as little as 24 hours.

How is UFlek-AF supplied?

UFlek-AF is available in do-it yourself kits starting at $234.95 for up to a 24’ x 24’ area (576 sq.ft.) or a typical 2 ½ car garage of smooth concrete*. Material-only extender packs are available for larger areas.
