What is UClad?

UClad is a high-build, self-leveling epoxy floor coating kit. The material pours down and spreads out to smooth over rough, damaged or worn surfaces. It provides greater resistance to heavy duty use in mechanical areas or professional repair facilities. UClad is an odor-free, non-combustible product for interior use on concrete and wood floor surfaces. UClad is typically applied between the bond and finish coats of the UCoat system.

How is it sold?

Depending on the severity of the repairs being made, UClad kits and double packs will cover up to 350 square feet while single packs will cover up to 175 square feet. Coverage is based on 12 mils average thickness. UClad may be applied safely up to 30 mils or more in trouble spots. For deeper cracks and smaller spalled or pitted areas, we recommend using UPatch™ as an alternative to UClad as it can be layered more easily over smaller areas.

What colors are available?

UClad is available tinted to one of seven standard UCoat colors: Light Gray, Medium Gray, Beige, Medium Blue, Tile Red, Antique White and Black.

COLOR NOTE: White or Beige floors may require additional material for adequate color coverage. For white floors, UGloss-AF tinted White urethane topcoat is recommended for a bright, white finish.

• When applying UClad, coating the entire surface is desireable. otherwise a noticeable surface texture difference will be present if you use UClad only in sections.
• Due to the nature of high-build epoxies, UClad is recommended for professional use only due to shortened pot life and working times.
• Due to its self-leveling nature, a UClad floor will need a anti-slip additive of some kind, either UTex (recommended) or UFlek chips, added to the finish coat of UCoat to prevent the floor from being too slippery when wet. This is of the highest concern in exterior, garage, or automotive floors due to the higher probability of water or other liquids being present on the floor surface.
• If to be used in an exterior area, a topcoat of UGloss-AF or UFlek-AF is recommended to prevent "chalking" of the surface.
